Even minor damage to a vehicle can quickly cause major costs - especially if it is detected too late or not at all. Bosch RideCare helps carsharing providers and car rental companies to prevent exactly that: through precise real-time detection of bodywork damage, rule violations such as smoking in the vehicle and risky driving behavior. As the world's largest automotive supplier, Bosch combines decades of experience and technological innovation in a smart product - ensuring a high level of transparency and protection for its own vehicles.

Bosch RideCare is an AI-supported cloud service that was developed specifically for the requirements of carsharing providers and car rental companies. The solution automatically detects undesirable events such as smoking in the vehicle, bodywork damage or risky driving behavior - events that were previously difficult to track or prove.
In addition, RideCare provides real-time information on mileage and vehicle position. The hardware required for this - a compact add-on device - can be installed in less than 15 minutes and works across all makes and models in all cars and light commercial vehicles. Some functions, such as smoke detection and GPS, are even available in larger trucks.
As soon as RideCare detects a relevant event, the data is transmitted to the Bosch cloud via mobile communications. There, AI algorithms analyze the information and, if necessary, automatically forward a message to the RideCare dashboard or directly to the operator's backend via API. This allows fleet operators to check the condition of their vehicles at any time and from any location - without any physical checks.
Best Practices for Damage Management →
Compared to traditional accident detection solutions, RideCare focuses specifically on minor, frequent damage that often goes undetected. With additional functions such as smoke detection or driving behavior analysis, Bosch offers a comprehensive protection package for modern mobility fleets.
And this is just the beginning: with RideCare360, a partnership with Wenn und Assured, Bosch now offers a complete solution for large rental and carsharing stations. Other services such as vehicle certificates or battery monitoring for e-vehicles complete the portfolio and also increase the resale value.
Bosch is offering interested parties a pilot phase to experience the product live on their own vehicles.
Bosch will be providing exclusive insights into RideCare at the MOQO Summit 2025. Interested parties can find out more about the technology, possible applications and integration in a talk and a workshop.
If you want to know how you can get more transparency, safety and economic added value from your fleet with RideCare, don't miss this event.

Marketing for shared mobility providers is crucial in order to attract new users and remain relevant in a dynamic mobility market. Typical challenges for sharing providers are high barriers to entry for customers and entrenched mobility habits. Effective strategies are needed - from a targeted user approach to emotional storytelling. In this article, we show three best practices for successful marketing.

In a pilot project in Detroit, the US carsharing provider Sway Mobility is turning to remote driving for the first time. Drivers use the app to select the right vehicle from all those available, which is then teleoperated to the station. The aim is to make carsharing as convenient as possible - and for providers to benefit from higher capacity utilization and reduced costs at the same time.

This spring, the MOQO network once again came together in Aachen to inspire each other, develop solutions and learn from experts - because the challenges of our time are too great to tackle alone. Together, we addressed the question of what is needed to future-proof individual services and shared mobility as a whole. Keynote speeches on autonomous driving and the key success factors of Airbnb as a high-flyer in the sharing economy provided exciting perspectives.
