Features for drivers
In addition to the general framework of a sharing service, there are countless other requirements for a car sharing platform from the user's point of view.
When are which vehicles available? A booking calendar helps to plan bookings in advance and reserve vehicles if necessary.
What makes the vehicles stand out? Are there vehicles with special features? Electric vehicles? Are fuel cards or charging stations available?
If something does not go as expected, it is necessary to offer help via customer service, which should also have access to vehicles if necessary.
Before the trip
In most cases, it is necessary to check the driver's license in advance. This can be done via an online service such as PostIdent, or by a manual check by an authorized person on site.
If the sharing model includes costs, it is necessary to deposit a payment method before the start of the journey. This is because ideally all costs incurred, including those in addition to the actual use (e.g. fees for late returns or heavily soiled vehicles), are handled automatically via the sharing portal.
After the ride
Depending on the use case, it is desirable that, for example, digital logbooks are kept automatically. If costs are incurred vis-à-vis private customers, integration into the company's own accounting system is also essential.
As a sharing provider, it is of course also desirable to receive feedback from users. Are my customers satisfied with the service and would they recommend it to others?
