Remote launch event

In times of Corona, where events are either completely canceled or take place digitally, creative concepts make digital (launch) events something special. One example of such an inventive and also interactive launch was that of LeasePlan for their new project LeasePlan Tripp:

Sharing Solutions in Your Own Parking Garage

The kick-off event, which took place in the first week of February, was all about LeasePlan Tripp. This is a new shared mobility offer that LeasePlan is providing in four Amsterdam apartment complexes since its launch. The four apartment complexes are home to around 650 households, which can now access sharing services in their own underground car park. Each location has access to a variety of transportation options: Per site residents can share two cars (one of them electric), an electric cargo bike, and two e-bikes.

No subscription is required to use any of the vehicles. Residents can download the app free of charge and use it to book the appropriate type of vehicle as needed – around the clock. Residents do not have to worry about aspects such as insurance, maintenance, and cleaning. After registering, they also receive a one-time discount for four hours of free use.

LeasePlan Tripp's goal is to drive forward shared mobility in the four apartment complexes and make the rental units more attractive. This will include monitoring the extent to which the sharing services provide residents with an alternative to owning a vehicle.

LeasePlan Tripp runs on the MOQO app and platform.

Remote Launch with Snacks and Pub Quiz

So how did Leaseplan manage to organize a corona-compliant yet interactive event?

LeasePlan involved all 650 households in the four apartment complexes: All residents were able to register online in advance to participate in the kick-off event as well as a pub quiz. The launch itself took place on three different days, with a total of 140 people registering. Each event began with a presentation of LeasePlan Tripp. This was followed by a pub quiz in which participants were asked questions about topics such as music, the city of Amsterdam and, of course, mobility. In this way, LeasePlan was able to bring some fun and variety into the Lockdown days.

In addition, each participating household received a package with snacks and drinks, so physical well-being was also taken care of during the pub quiz. Despite - or perhaps because of - the online event, participants didn't have to miss out on anything. They were able to relax in the comfort of their own homes, learn more about the new sharing service in their garage, and get to know other residents at the same time.

Conclusion

Through the interactive remote launch event, LeasePlan was able to playfully make residents of the complexes aware of the offering and generate interest. It remains exciting to see how LeasePlan Tripp is accepted by the residents.
